| (Story provided by J.N., who writes "I am the very lucky owner of the Alan Bean painting 'Apollo Moon'. I asked Alan to write a little about the painting at the time I purchased it. What follows is exactly what he wrote.") I painted this study of our moon a number of years ago in a search to record it in a way that meant more to me. This is a more artistic Moon, a more beautiful Moon, but the same Moon we were headed for as we left earth and began our 239,000 mile flight. We artists do things like this... I don't know why... But hopefully the world is a more interesting place for it.
